THE 19% PERCENT
At Howard University, Black men currently make up only 19% of the student population. While many of these young men have earned scholarships that fully cover tuition, a hidden burden remains: room and board.
Every semester, these future engineers, educators, pharmacists, chemists, doctors, and businessmen—all with GPAs of 3.7 and higher—struggle to stay enrolled because of outstanding housing and meal plan balances.
These are not just statistics. These are driven, brilliant young Black men who are doing everything right—yet still face financial barriers that threaten their dreams.
We’re raising funds to close the gap and ensure these students can focus on their education without the constant fear of being dropped for a past-due balance.
Your donation helps cover:
• Room and board fees
• Emergency housing expenses
• Meal plans and daily essentials
• Peace of mind for students who deserve to thrive
